Manic Miner game, or better still JSW64.
Such a conversion could have patches to the MM/JSW64 game-engine
such as:
* allowing the player to stand on the bottom row;
* allowing the player to fall through a height of 5 characters;
* extending collision-detection for guardians so that they don't
kill you if they collide with something other than the player,
e.g. to take the player's position into account when pixels
collide.
