Subject: "New" game of JSW interest
While I was preparing documentation for "Willy's Hoard", I noticed that
the World of Spectrum website has been updated significantly in the
field of JSW/MM games. I also discovered that it lists a game
called "Willy Tournament 2004", by Mark "Woody" Woodmass (known for
several other MM/JSW-related projects), starring Miner Willy. See
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/games/w.html
The game is described as "Missing in Action", but if you go to
http://speccyspoilers.co.uk/games.html
you can download a .zip file:
http://speccyspoilers.co.uk/files/willytournament2004.zip
which apparently includes the final version of the game, plus a couple
of beta versions and a spoiler showing the ending.
According to the text file enclosed in the .zip file, it looks like
Mark Woodmass made the game as a follow-up to "Super Crap Invaders"
(already included in Andrew Broad's list of MM/JSW games, in the "Other
Games of MM/JSW Interest" section). Philip Bee is also given credit for
sending a snapshot of the ending to Jim I. Langmead, who maintains
Speccy Spoilers and who is the author of the text file.
