Subject: good news for me coupled with an absolute nightmare!!!
Hello people it's been ages since I've posted on here, but not to
worry I've still kept up to date with releases and news. Anyway as of
friday night\Saturday morning I will now officially be an ex-pat, my
visa came through after a year and a halfs worth of hassle. My
fiancee left this morning but we couldn't get on the same flight, so
I fly out to the States on Friday night.
I'll be honest I'm gonna miss England something rotten, I had my last
meal from the Chippy last night (I now remember why I stopped eating
food from the fish and chip shop in the first place....eerrgh!).
Tonight or tommorow night it's gonna be a curry or a low grade high
street pizza shop pizza.
So all is well for me....or is it?
My burner has gone on the fritz, and/or the only CDs/DVDs I have are
so old they've practically petrified. I have a USB Keydrive which I
nicked off a mag from work, which is big enough to fit my JSW remakes
folder and my folder of other peoples games (unfortunately my PC
remakes folder is too big to fit). But here's the clincher I pinched
the key drive but forgot the bloody drivers for it. So I'm going to
have to see if I can get a cheap burner and some discs and/or a
Keydrive that will fit my entire D: drive on it (My secondary
hardrive, I have my burner set as E:). I only have one day to do this
now really, and I hope I can because otherwise all my JSW remakes are
staying here. I can't come back to England for 6 months - 1 year
after I get there, so any games I'm working on will be delayed even
longer.
If the worst happens I apologise to anyone who is awaiting any of my
unfinished games (if I'm lucky business as usual, because I can't
work until my green card comes through, that could take up to a year).
I know I'd normally apologise for a massive post but this time I'm
not going to :)
