Hi,
Sorry to raise a topic that has probably been discussed at length
previously. I believe the FAQ lacks certain information about the
location of Room 47.
As noted in the JSW FAQ, it appears the statement that the unreachable
room 47 lies about The Conservatory originated with Your Spectrum.
Indeed, this is stated in issue YS#4, see

Presumeably they based this statement on the fact that the below room
exit for room 47 does indeed point to the Conservatory. But the exit
information for room 47 looks very dubious.
Further, the FAQ states that the original game has no room linking TO
room 47. But this is incorrect or at least inaccurate. In fact the
right exit for room 46 "Tree Root" point to room 47. Of course, in
the actual game, making this connection is impossible because room 48
has a solid right edge. The sequential numbering of these rooms also
supports this position.
Thus it would seem to me that the logical place where Matthew had
originally planned for room 47 is to the right of "Tree Root".
