Subject: Lack of commitment to the lifestyle

It bugs me muchly sometimes, that I have fallen out of the loop with
regards to JSW editing. I think it's safe to say you should take
anything I say about starting back up again with a grain of salt.

That said, I do hope to start again soon. I have all my stuff on a
portable hard drive, I just need to find the UK->US adapter, and my
creativity these days has really come into it's own (in my
not-so-humble opinion).

Some of the things I can blame for not getting back into it:

- Boulderdash Construction Kit on the C64 (and the Crazy Light mod
with loads of extra gubbins and cell types)

- My boyfriend being ill and looking after him.

- The fact that my boyfriend's good PC has broken down and this one is
a bit slow making it a chore to use.

- Inertia. I fear commitment to these projects. So many of them end up
scrapped. I was working on a really extensive hack of Super Mario
World a long time ago, I put probably hundreds of hours into it, and
since I was using hacks and programs/tools as they were being
developed, it fell pray to bad code causing excessive slowdown (I even
pointed this out at the time, when it could have been rectified, but
nobody 'noticed' until a recognized programmer brought it up). So what
does this have to do with JSW? Not an awful lot, but like SMW hacking,
it's a longterm project and I've been more interested in shortterm
mod-making such as Boulderdash.

(If anyone's interested, there are screenshot maps of my first
released BD game here:

http://www.boulder-dash.nl/down/maps/Sendy/Sendy%20Dash%20Vol.%201.html

I think they're purdy).

Anyway, when I do get back into my JSW/MM projects, I'll post a little
(or probably longwinded, rambling and slightly narcissistic) note here
to let you know.

Hope everyone is well, and it's good to see this place is still active!
