Subject: Re: Completing the original JSW in less than 1 game-time hour
Okay, I have done it. I have proved that it is possible to
complete "Jet Set Willy" (with the official Software Projects POKEs
in place), with no unnecessary loss of life, in less than one game-
time hour, with a toilet-time of 7.59 am :-) .
I have also been able to bring the toilet-time down to 7.56 am by
sacrificing all of the spare lives. So if someone asks you how much
is one life worth in "JSW", you can answer truthfully: "30 seconds"
:-) .
The RZX files of both walkthroughs have just been uploaded to my
folder in the Files section of the Group.

Thanks, Phil :-) . I did use Rollback - a lot of times. Otherwise I

would have been an absolute, freaking genius :-).

That's exactly what I have just done :-).

another one using this route. The result was a toilet-time of 8.03 am
(which could have been improved by 1 minute, possibly, with my later
improvements). The route is slightly less efficient, IMO, because
what you gain by not having to cross the bridge and the bottom of the
MegaTree going right, you lose having to cross the right-hand side of
the battlements going back to the Watch Tower, plus the bit crossing
the Orangery, etc.

You may be right. I haven't tried this, actually, because I didn't

have your message in front of my eyes (or on my offline computer)
when I was recording the walkthroughs posted today.
