Subject: "Holy Shit!!!" - a critical bug
I continued playtesting "Holy Shit!!!" yesterday and I found out the
game is impossible to complete. This is because the game clock is set
at the start to 12.30 pm, which means the player has only 30 minutes
to complete the game, which is not enough.
Andrew Broad explains in the text file accompanying his game
"Goodnite Luddite", concerning the clock code in the original "JSW":
> The above code has the bug that the hour after 11am is 12am,That is why there are only 30 minutes between 12.30 pm and 1.00 am,
> because it changes "a" to "p" when it changes "12" to " 1".
> Furthermore, the game does /not/ end at midnight as advertised, but
> at 1am (after the hour it calls "12pm")."
which is the end of the game - the program goes back to the title
screen at this moment.
Otherwise, I haven't noticed any other problems in "Holy Shit!!!".
This said, I haven't played the room clusters below the bedroom and
starting with the entrance to Hades yet.
