Subject: File rescue attempt
Well, I've tried several times to boot my computer in safe mode and command prompt mode, to no avail, so I've ordered a gadget that lets you dock hard drives and read files from them.
This is pretty much a last ditch attempt but if the hard drive isn't damaged (I think it's a driver problem causing the crashing/resetting on bootup) I should be able to rescue my files. It should be here tomorrow so I'll keep you all posted.
Failing that I suppose I will have to have a look at any uploaded or emailed versions I may have on the web, and go from there. I certainly want to get back into editing this year, and where there's a Willy there's a way..
