Subject: Spectrum version of Oric version of Manic Miner - beautiful but bugg
It is very nice to see the Oric version of Manic Miner, released, if I understand correctly, by Vidar Eriksen. Thank you, Erix1!
I had a go at the game yesterday and found that it is impossible to complete. There is no way of reaching the portal in the second room ("asdfasdf") before the time runs out - that's unless I am missing something, of course, but I tried both the upper way and the lower way repeatedly and couldn't make it.
I had a look at the rooms which follow in JSWED and I can say I would love to be able to play the game to the end. Could we ask MinerTech for a completable version, please? Also, Erix1, would you consider releasing the final product as a .TAP file, this being more elegant than a .Z80 snapshot?
A tip for those who may want to see the game in JSWED: the .Z80 file won't load, but if you run it in an emulator and save it as a .SNA file, it will load without any problems.
And on an unrelated subject, if Erix1 is around: Is "Maria vs. Some Bastards" completable? I remember struggling with it some years ago and not being able to complete it - there were some items I could find no way of collecting.
