Subject: Re: JSWED crashes on my Windows 7 computer.

Hi Sendy :-)
It is good to hear from you, as always. I hope you haven't grown weary of my enthusements over the years (you made that word up in message 6036 on 13 February 2007 :-) ), but I need to say it again: It would be fantastic if you went back to editing JSW games, gamma-released "Manic Person" and "Role Reversal", graced us with progress on "Death TV" (ultimately leading to a gamma release) and surprise us with a myriad of other projects!
I have recently installed JSWED 2.3.6 on two computers, both running Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 64 bit and I haven't had any problems using the software (at least to the limited extent I did use it, i.e. mainly opening and browsing games). Perhaps if you reinstalled it,it might help? Or try installing JSWED 2.2.9 instead (officially still the "lastest stable version")?

Same here. However, I use Windows 7 on my online computer for security reasons (no more security updates for XP) and at work, and I have gradually grown used to it. I can also see the growing need for moving on from XP for hardware-related reasons (SSDs, over-3-TB HDDs, USB3, etc.).

Sure thing!

I will keep my fingers crossed for your successful comeback to JSW editing, Sendy :-) .
