I wonder. I'd have thought
you'd get some very odd results. Here's why:
*
The two tunes play from different places in memory.
The title screen tune is at 29994 while being
played[1] and the in-game tune is at 63232.
* The first
six bytes of the tune contain the addresses of the
three channels.
* Swapping the tunes over should
then leave you with the pointers pointing to the wrong
places altogether.
If I were to try and document
the .TUN format a bit (perhaps by paraphrasing Ian
Collier's documentation) what sort of tools should I write
for? Emulated Spectrums or some kind of native binary
file editor?
[1] It's copied in from 60548 when
the title screen is drawn; but that isn't important
right now.
