BTW, I was playing the brilliant Amstrad CPC platform game Radzone recently. I love the way that the player's absorbed dose (a sort of inverse air supply) increases in proportion to the number of items remaining in the room, but can be reset by returning to a safe zone (a room with all the items collected). I'm not sure whether I prefer being knocked around by the guardians to being killed instantly as in MM/JSW. Radzone is a different kind of challenge, but certainly a lot of fun.
