Following investigation, everything that I predicted in my previous message came to pass, except that the cavern name wasn't corrupted.  That's probably because the cavern name is printed before the Main Loop commences operation (so the corruption only occurs 'behind the scenes').
One thing that I forgot to mention earlier is that if pixels are conveyed across half of the screen (as a result of assigning a Conveyor Length value of zero), then guardians can collide with them fatally.
