Subject: Re: Vertical guardians in MM versus JSW
Andrew's analysis in message 4044 covers the difference in the movement of vertical guardians in MM versus JSW.
There is also a difference in the animation of vertical guardians between the two game engines, namely that MM vertical guardians don't have a Slow Animation option (changing sprite-frame every other 'tick'), whereas JSW vertical guardians.
The converse is true of horizontal guardians - in MM, they can either progress during every tick, or at a 'Slow' pace every other tick, whereas in the original JSW48 game engine, horizontal guardians can only progress at the 'Regular' speed of one sprite-frame during every tick. (And of course, the animation and movement of horizontal guardians are effectively dealt with collectively.)
