Subject: Re: Regarding the JSW rewrites - part 1
i hear you on the difficulty.... there are still
plenty easier and more classical styled jsw remakes out
there.... adban springs to mind as a master of this
style.
personally, i like to have restricted access until i solve a
challenge. it creates the factor of 'what's in the other
room?' or 'how do i get to that promised
land?'.
as you solve the problems, you get to see more and
more of the game, and the mental map builds up in your
head.
that's the way i like it. the quirky features are just
puzzles. games with them in tend to have much more
variable gameplay, IMO.
i do think it's good to
have a good connection scheme with lots of junctions
and alternate routes, to give you freedom. this
should be evident in *latest game*.
anyone else
got any thoughts?
.....
okay,
guardians. what happens is if you change one guardian
(identified by it's table number and guardian number), all
instances of it will change.
so in room 1 use
guardians 1-7, in room 2 use 8-1C etc. if you 'recycle' a
guardian, make sure if you tweak it, you're careful because
you will effectively be tweaking 2
rooms!

p.s. draw????? who said you need to be able to
draw????? ;)
