the original strangel and strangel SE be parallel products?
For example, I regard Adam Britton's The Continuing Adventures SE as a
parallel product to the original TCA (with two entries on my List of
MM/JSW Games) simply because the SE deleted a room. If the SE had not
deleted a room, I would have considered it a replacement (as with The
Time Hole SE).
Similarly, I consider Frosya the Cat and Frosya Lite Version to be
parallel products because the Lite Version is (from what I've read,
not having played it yet) both `more than' and `less than' the
original. If the bug-fixes had also been applied to the hard version,
and the hard and easy versions packaged together in the same zip file,
then I would have considered Frosya the Cat replaced, and would have
had just one entry for Frosya on my List of MM/JSW Games.
There are a number of dilemmata to compiling an exhaustive and
ontologically sound list of MM/JSW Games! ;-) It can also be difficult
to decide which category to put certain releases in (e.g. I added ZX81
Manic Miner to "Others" today, after considering putting it in "Manic
Miner" or "MM Tidbits").
