technique and yes it is quite fun. It's also a great way to add extra
conveyor animations - make a sprite sequence which looks like a
conveyor and place it over conveyor blocks with a blank pattern -
just make sure Willy can't get at them from the sides or bottom or
he'll die a most unfair death ;).
I've recently realised that you can make the sprite just have the top
3 pixel rows doing the conveyor movement stuff and then you can set
the other 5 rows on a per room (or even per block!) basis!
I also recently had the idea of extending this technique to make
*animated conveyor ramps*! I'll say how that went later.
Those 2 rooms are looking great Igor. I do likes me a colourful room.
I think that the colour clash in the 2nd room with the bannister
should be erradicated if at all possible. Though I know how hard it
can be to juggle all the attributes in a room with 16 cell types!
Pity there's no way to have 2 blocks of the same attributes, though
I'm pretty sure that's impossible without a complete rewrite (bar of
course the way you can place blank guardians on blocks to colour
them - actually that might be the way to go in this room Igor).
Oh, btw, I'm Sendy. Don't mind my constantly changing aliases. I
really should get back into the habit of signing off with my name.
Sendy
p.s. Given my sudden urge to waffle on about room design I'm going to
try and break the hiatus next time I get a few hours spare.
