You prepared the map exactly the way I prefer to make maps - without
the room names. That's what I did for "Willy's New Mansion" map. In
order to sort of compensate for the lack of names, I also prepared a
map in .pdf format, with just the names of the rooms. I called it
a "room chart" in the text file, but I'm sure there must be a better
expression for it in English - please, let me know what it should be.

As a matter of fact, my current plans contemplate a website related
to JSW / MM games for the Spectrum only. Frankly speaking, I do not
want to overdo it - I am afraid that if I make my plans /too/
ambitious, I will end up not realising them at all. So at this stage
I want to concentrate on the Spectrum games. This is not to say that
at some future point I may not extend the website to other platforms
as well, /if/ I manage to create and launch it at all. If this
happens, your maps, descriptions and any other kind of input will be
most welcome and I will certainly make use of them! :-)

Perhaps the name of my future website should be "The Universal ZX
Spectrum Miner Willy Gaming Centre", after all. This would clear all
possible doubts, hopefully.

When I replied to your first message, rather hastily, I did not
realise your game wasn't for the Spectrum. I thought it might have
been one the 128k engine games I hadn't played so far (even though
your name didn't ring a bell as an author of a Spectrum game). I've
had a look at your website since, and a quick go at your game online,
and I think it is very nice :-) . DO make a sequel!

Also, thanks for your opinion about the feedback idea :-) .

2. To DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!

Okay, I will keep the name "Mind Control". I have no plans for a
sequel, so feel free to use number 2 for your game.

I look forward to playing "Maria on Tour". Hopefully in September, or
whenever it is ready :-).

3. To John

Thanks for the link to the info on .png format. It's very useful :-) .

I think that the possibility to take screenshots would be a useful
feature in JSWED (even though I will not use it for my planned
website, since I'm already progressing taking screenshots using a
different tool).

If I were to contribute to the development of the future versions of
the /ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT/ tool that JSWED is, I'd like to mention
the /only/ problem I've had with it. The problem is that while
choosing the sprite for a guardian or changing it, sometimes the
program window just disappears and I lose all the changes I have made
to the game since I last saved it. It has happened to me quite
frequently and forced me to save the game almost after every
successful sprite change, because I don't know whether the program
window will not disappear when I deal with the next guardian. I have
tried to turn DirectX drivers off, but it didn't help (I'm using
Windows 98SE).

Also, I believe that the ability to apply arbitrary POKEs, which
Andrew mentioned back in January, would be a useful feature, too.
