I've made my way even to the red planet and already came back and can
say, that everything looks pretty dynamic and makes you understand
that the time passes since you started playing. Everything changes,
old locations change and look absolutely in the other way.
This is very good and I like it, except, that now, I'm really afraid
that I have missed some of the items. After all this teleports there
is no actual return to where you've been. So I think, I've missed a
few items, so now I will miss them when finally meet Maria. My only
hope will be to explore all the rooms once more to find them and to
visit the ocean depths once again.
Plus: interesting fact. While Willy is exploring all these beautiful
underwater cities and caverns, he can rather simply got up to
his "titanic" and it will be on the same place as it was before
(though, actually, when Willy will got to the surface, he won't even
see his ship - it will be miles away from him). I suppose, that you
have to insert a special plot in the "history of the game" that this
ship is out of fuel or something and it can't move anymore.
Though, as I already said, the atmosphere of the underwater world is
very good and original. (what is less seen on the ship), I like how
you've made it. Very interesting to compare underwater worlds of
different JSW authours. I've seen a lot of scenes where player have
to move down the water surface (though in some other rooms, he is
often afraid of water drops) - I don't remember them all, but in
Drunken Master game, in my "Jet Cat Frosya" (btw. have a look it -
there are a lot of things, that we can meet in your game, in JCF
too).
Plus there are a few interesting ways of collecting items.
Especially, on the upper room from the "huge... or big... or
something crystal" - where there are three symbols of planets in the
middle.
Landscape of MARS looks nice, MARS ATTACK is very impressive! (Very
nice flying saucer sprite, btw. I've seen it in Daniel's and Sendy's
last game, right at the beginning)
I can compare your game only with what I know good, so I think, that
your game structure looks like my "JCF" game. There are special
locations, where all rooms are connected with single idea and
atmosphere. These games can be well-compared, though, in your game,
there are 12543253 more fresh ideas, than in "JCF". Honestly =D
PLUS: a bug. It can be very easily avoided, but it exists. When
appearing in the "dying" Atlanic palace, after Mars, you should
collect the rightmost item, that is situated to the right from the
green ufo. All the solid green blocks are conveyours to the right. So
it is easy to stand on the conveyour block that will move Willy
towards the earth block. And he won't be able to move anywhere. So
the game should be restarted or reloaded.
That's all for the moment, I suppose.
