Subject: A lots happened in 3 months hasn't it :)

After 3 wonderful months with my fiancee she sadly had to return to
the USA this morning, amidst security overload at Gatwick and all. I
returned to Newcastle from Kings Cross skint and misrable, my love
has been gone for less than 12 hours and I miss her terribly. However
on the plus side I can get back to JSW and I will be heavily to take
my mind off the absence of my girl. So in my typical style I've
cracked the Harp Irish Lager open and I'm gonna start fiddling with
JSWED sometime today. In the past 3 months I have completed 1 room
for "The Man Who Sold the World" (whilst she was in the shower), and
that's about it really.

Anyway over the last 3 months I've been on the sideline as I said in
a previous post and I've played the games whenever I could. Igor
Makovskys "LENA" is a good game for it's size and actually has a lot
to it which was impressive, I've played the Russian pre release and
downloaded the final version (but haven't played it properly yet,
although it did seem more surreal in Russian since I can't read it).

Willy's Hoard is really good but I only had a quick play up to the
top area of the "Dwarves Domain" before having to switch off and go
out. I like how you lose lives just like Henrys' Hoard, it's always
good just to see little touches like that added to JSW. Daniel your
studies of the various JSW disassemblies appear to have payed off
quite well. I'm almost scared to release anymore games these days
everybody seems to be surpassing me by great lengths, I may have to
hack any future projects insanely heavily just to keep up with
everyone.

The SE of "Willy vs The Vampire Lord" was a breath of fresh air to me
too, I didn't even know it was in the pipeline. But I'm glad it was
as I think I posted something about the critical bugs a few years
ago, mainly because I was sad I couldn't finish this fantastic JSW
game (I may have just thought about posting something though, I'm not
entirely sure if I did). Anyway this game came as a nice surprise
because now I CAN finish it and look forward to doing so (I notice
the skull brothers are now "Paranoid") thank you very much Daniel.

To Andrew the lift patching appears to be progressing nicely however
I see the little probs you have to iron out, The horizontal platforms
could work as they are now I'm tempted by them, but I think I will
wait until you've solved the case with both before I start attempting
to fiddle. Just out of interest (I apologise if anyone has already
addressed this issue), Will the lifts patch be done via a lump of
code somewhere that you then change the guardians manually to
activate or will it be room specific, or are you not sure yourself
yet?

Anyway as far as my JSW editing goes I may add to "The Dark
Quadrology" now however I may concentrate of the SE's of (once
again) "The Down and Out Trilogy". Partially because my visa to the
USA has been approved and I don't know how much longer I'm going to
be in the UK. But I guarentee that I will continue my work overseas
(if and) when I get there. I'm making bloody sure all my JSW stuff is
coming with me (I'm burning 2 CD's and putting my Speccy folder on a
Keydrive just to be on the safe side).

Sad my girls gone, but glad to be back here.

Hope everyones projects are progressing with fun, enjoyment and more
fun.

Cheers

DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
