My best recorded toilet-time for the original JSW is 8.01 am. I have
just uploaded an RZX file with that walkthrough to my folder [Daniel
Gromann] in the Files section of the Group.

A question which has nagged at me for a few months now - but which I
did not consider worth spending my precious JSW time on - is whether
it would be possible to improve that result so as to complete JSW
before 8.00 am, i.e. in under one game-time hour.

I think that it might just be possible with the route I took by
sacrificing 5 of the remaining lives in places whether it takes some
time to negotiate your way back after collecting an item.

The most significant improvements in the performance in any JSW game
are usually due to improving the route taken. The one I used seems to
be optimal to me, but perhaps I'm wrong?

Time-perfect movements in relation with the guardians can also
improve the performance, but I don't see much room for significant
improvement in this case. Still, I may be wrong again.

So is anyone able to complete the original JSW, without any
additional POKEs other than the four official Software Projects
POKEs, in less than one game-time hour? :-)

Daniel

P.S. My best recorded toilet-times for JSW64 are: 8.01 am for
variants X, Y, Z and [, and 8.43 am for variants V and W (one life
lost in each case). You can download these walkthroughs from The RZX
Archive (http://www.rzxarchive.co.uk/j.html).
