"teleport" as a noun:
(1) a centre providing interconnections between different forms of
telecommunications, especially one which links satellites to ground-
based communications. [ORIGIN: 1980s: originally the name of such a
centre in New York.]
(2) an act of teleporting.
So I stand by my recommendation of using "teleporter" as the noun for
a teleportation-device, even though "teleporter" isn't defined in the
NODE.
