I think this is the announcement for JSW128 0.01HL4, which is dated 12/8/1997.
As far as I can see, the history of the JSWED 1.08 betas starts on 19 Jul 2000. I put a download on my 'experiments' page which was probably 1.08b1: see message 400. It didn't work (message 408) so I had another go and uploaded the result as 1.08b2 (message 411).
