Subject: Re: Solar Beams and non-Air cells
It's an interesting observation and suggestion for room design, Ian.
I am just wondering, though: if there are Crumbly or Conveyor cells through which Willy has to pass anyway, what would be the merit of their interaction with the Solar Beam challenge?
I mean, if there are such cells on Willy's way, they will protect him from the Solar Beam anyway, whether he knows it or not. And if he has to pass through them anyway, it doesn't make any special room design.
Conversely, if they are not on his way, they would give him protection from the Solar Beam while he stands inside them, but that wouldn't contribute to his passing through the room in any way, and the time spent within them, as a detour, so to speak, would still deprive him of the precious air, which would still be running out, although not as fast as when Willy is touched by the Solar Beam while not protected by any cells.
I think it's an interesting thought about the room design, but I'm struggling to imagine how it could be applied in practical terms...
